When I think of Purgatory I think of a cold, dark and damp cave, so we used calcite (the primary mineral in Stalactites and Stalagmites) for the Our Fathers. Then we used obsidian and lava rock and a bit of red and black agate in the Hail Mary’s to represent the fires often depicted in the art work of Purgatory.

Purgatory is often seen as an uncomfortable place and so we did not hold back on using organically shaped and unusual stones for this rosary.

Finally we most appropriately finished it off with a Pardon Crucifix!

NOTE: this rosary is heavier than most. If you are buying this for anyone with arthritis or other disabilities that may affect grip, we recommend one of our lighter rosaries. Also, this one will vary the most from rosary to rosary.
